SEO , on LinkedIn alone, there are no less than 101,000 profiles. Difficult to see clearly. Articles and information (including untruths) come out every week. Some time ago I attended a conference where an “expert” said (in summary) that SEO is essentially about inbound links . The same week, at another conference, I heard another “expert” say the exact opposite, namely that in fact, backlinks are not at all essential in SEO. Many articles have been written on the famous zero position (7 million results on Google), on mobile (or voice) searches and their impacts on how to manage your SEO.
It is once again very likely that a certain number of SEO professionals will lash out against Email Data the comments I make in an article on the subject. I am not trying to be divisive or provoke, just to understand, not to throw out or relay absurd information or figures without thinking. As I wrote a few weeks ago: some people don't like me (don't like what I say anyway) and that's fine . For my part, I try to escape from dominant thinking and have a different perspective on the subject. Especially since I am not a “technical” SEO expert. I work with very good technicians, but I'm not one. My role is not to do SEO, but to understand the issues and trends to properly advise my clients. Then task my “technical” partners with doing the job.
SEO effectiveness? Before going any further, I make a digression. Before implementing an SEO strategy, know that according to an American study from spring 2018: In a study of 2 million new pages published, only 5.7% are positioned on the 1st page of Google search results on at least 1 query in the year following their posting. Which means that 94.3% do not succeed . As 2 million pages, compared to the Internet, is “peanuts”, a more in-depth study was done on 1 billion pages. 88% of these pages have no organic traffic (no SEO traffic) from Google. And, 4.5% have fewer than 10 visitors per month. We find this article by Tim Soulo , here . Obviously, many SEO players will respond that the pages concerned are pages that have not passed through their hands.
